Just as Jesus reviewed His teachings with His disciples, so we ought to evaluate how we have applied our revival speaker’s messages. Remember Mark’s contrast between the godly and world approaches to fear? The world says, “Don’t fear, the odds are against it.” Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
Fear asks, “what if.” What if I fail? What if I die?
Faith asks, “what is.” God is. God is in control. God is faithful.
Faith is “a trust in God that produces obedience.” Faithlessness is “fear producing disobedience.” The 4 steps to dealing with fear: (1) List fear(s), (2) Identify the lie you are believing, (3) Identify God’s truth, (4) Respond in faith. Satan’s greatest lie is that the cost of yielding to God is too great.
Let’s apply these lessons and be people of faith.
