Dear Lazybrook Family,
As I’m sure you have heard, there is growing concern about the spread of Covid-19 (the Coronavirus). Church leadership is monitoring the situation carefully and we are in communication with other community leaders. In the last 24 hours it has become clear that we will need to cancel all activities at the Church building this Sunday morning, March 15th. Instead, we will broadcast our worship service on the church website at 10:45am on Sunday morning.
We are so grateful that we have the technology to do this. While we are practicing “social distancing” we will not have to practice “spiritual distancing.” We can still worship together and read God’s Word together.
Between now and then, church leadership is working diligently to keep us connected to one another. In the coming days you should expect to hear from a deacon or from your small group leader. We will also provide a platform for you to make us aware of any needs that you might have during this time.
Ultimately, this is not an occasion for fear but it is an occasion for caution. We have made this decision in order to support the efforts of our community leaders who are working so hard to contain the spread of this virus. Your health and your family’s health are important to us. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep the lines of communication open with you. As individuals around us are tempted to be anxious and live in fear remember what Gods Word says…
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
May Christ’s peace be with you,
