In Ezekiel 22:30, the sovereign Lord says, “I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none.” Things happen when we pray that wouldn’t have happened if we hadn’t prayed. And things will not happen if we fail to pray that would have happened if we prayed. Prayer changes things. Prayer changes our worship experience.
Some of the earliest converts in Africa had separate spots in the thicket where they prayed. The well-worn paths and areas became evident. When devotion slipped, a brother would say to his friend, “The grass is growing over your path.” Is the grass growing over your spot of prayer.
This Sunday we will focus on Spirit-filled worship. Our corporate worship is enhanced by our private life of devotion, prayer & worship. Let’s gather in the Spirit & see God move in power.
