When the religious institution of Jesus’ day was captured by the culture of materialism, Jesus set the priority by saying (Mark 11:17), “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” Our desire at Lazybrook Baptist Church is to have a church founded upon believing prayer. Informally, we hope that prayer will characterize each gathering that they have, their verbal conversations, as well as electronic e-mails.
Formally we have 3 primary church-wide strategies:
(1) a Wednesday 6:15 p.m. prayer meeting
(2) a daily team of intercessors who come to the church prayer room. Intercessors may sign up for intervals of 30, 45 or 60 minutes. In early February, we have our annual church-wide prayer celebration banquet to honor our intercessors & inspire more to join the team. You may send a prayer request for our Wednesday prayer sheet through the CONTACT US link.
(3) a team of volunteers led by Christy Leath, who pray during our Sunday morning worship service.
