CHILDREN’ MINISTRIES
Lazybrook BaptistChurch is committed to teaching and ministering to children. Our desire is to guide children through Bible Study and various activities to experience a personal relationship with Jesus.
CHILDREN’S WORSHIP
Children’s worship is a worship alternative for children 1st through 5th grade. Parents are welcome to keep their children in the sanctuary during the sermon; however, we provide this option for parents who feel their child would benefit more from a service designed for children. Children’s worship meets in the fellowship hall right after our senior pastor Dr. John Neesley dismisses them. The children’s worship is child centered, and we use many methods of instruction that will engage children in active learning. Children are encouraged to participate in art, games, music, funny skits, drama, videos, and a variety of other activities that will motivate them to learn while having a great time. Our children’s worship is led by dedicated Christians, who guide children to learn Bible truths and apply them to real life.
MISSIONS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN
Each Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. we offer the Royal Ambassadors program for boys and the Girls in Action program for girls. Through these programs, children learn about the biblical basis for participating in missions around the world. They are challenged to participate in mission service and encouraged to pray for missionaries.
Royal Ambassadors (RA’s) enjoy camp crafts, camping, sports and recreation events. During meetings, they also focus on core values that we as Christians desire to develop in our growing boys.
Girls in Action get involved with many mission-learning projects locally as they discover ways they can tell others about Jesus. Girls are challenged to memorize Scripture and live a mission-minded lifestyle.
A mission education program for preschoolers, “Mission Friends” is available at 6:15 on Wednesday evenings. The children are exposed to mission work around the world through games, crafts, special snacks and stories of missionaries and their work.
KFC (Kid's For Christ)
Kid's for Christ is designed for kids from 1st to 5th grade. We get together every Sunday to practice at 6:00 p.m. Our desire and focus is to see children develop worship and praise attitudes toward our wonderful God. Children’s choir is a high-energy Bible based experience just for kids. We encourage children to bring their Bibles, to come with a great attitude, and to participate in all our choir and drama activities. We also have a fun game time, and a fellowship snack time. Come worship and have fun at the same time with other children!
Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
